Photonic Controls, LLC added to the Motorola Design Alliance Program

September 24, 2003 - Photonic Controls, LLC is now a member of the Motorola Design Alliance Program (MDAP). This program was created to help customers connect with top-notch design resources to implement the best solutions for their products. Photonic Controls was recognized for their extensive experience with Motorola‚s digital signal processors (DSPs) and their unique application in photonic products.

Over the past 6 years, Photonic Controls has completed dozens of photonic research & development design using Motorola's DSP563XX family of DSPs and PowerPC processors.

"Photonic Controls offers a unique skill set to their customers by providing optical, mechanical, network hardware and software design expertise....all from one design group. We are pleased with their membership in the Motorola Design Alliance Program" said Gordy Carlson, FAE for Motorola.

Scott Hilbert, a Senior Design Engineer for Photonic Controls said, "In our designs we have found Motorola DSP and Microcontroller products to be a perfect fit for optical communications products. For embedded control of optical amplifiers to Reconfigurable Optical Add/Drop Multiplexers, the Motorola‚s DSP families provide the ideal controller core. For networked communications modules, Motorola‚s 16 & 32 bit microcontrollers offer drop in communication support and allow high performance with low development cost."
